FAQ
What is HDPE pipe?
HDPE stands for high density polyethylene (often called PE) and is made from ethylene, which can come from crude oil or natural gas. HDPE tubes are extremely rugged and offer extreme durability, flexibility, corrosion resistance and chemical resistance.
What can HDPE tubes carry?
HDPE pipes carry drinking water, wastewater, chemicals and compressed gases.
What are the advantages of using HDPE pipes?
The HDPE pipes are connected by a hot melt process that allows the HDPE pipes to be fused together to form a strong, leak-free pipe network with the rest of the pipe. HDPE pipes have a zero "allowed leakage" rate. Other types of existing pipe installations have "permissible leakage rates" as high as 10 percent.
Can HDPE tubes be customized?
We can produce products according to your detailed requirements. Due to the diversity of laying pipe construction, we can produce various sizes of pipes and fittings according to your requirements. Such as size, pressure, color.
How does the total cost of HDPE piping compare to the price of other materials?
The pipeline is a long-term engineering project. In addition to comparing the initial purchase price, you should carefully evaluate long-term maintenance costs and overall life cycle costs. Since PE pipes do not corrode and do not leak at the joint, continuous repair of aging metal pipes or leakage at the joint with all other pipes is no longer a problem. Initial cost savings are also realized through the opportunity for trenchless installation. Compared to other pipes, HDPE has lower installation costs, lower maintenance rates, less water loss and lower energy costs. As a result, HDPE has the lowest life cycle cost, with the Institute estimating the service life of HDPE tubes at 75-100 years.
What is the difference between PE100 and PE80? Which one is better?
The names PE80 and PE100 are based on the long-term strength of the corresponding material and are called Minimum Required Strength (MRS). The minimum required strength (MRS) of the PE80 pipeline is 8 MPa, while the MRS of the PE100 pipeline is 10 MPa.
What kind of accessories does Puhui provide?
In addition to HDPE tubes, Puhui also provide a complete range of accessories, including: DN20-110mm socket weld fittings, DN63-800mm butt weld fittings, DN20-630mm electric fusion fittings, DN20-110mm PP compression fittings.
Should I use butt welding or fusion welding to add HDPE pipe?
This depends on the size and type of your project and where you installed it. You must consider: Pipe welding and installation of surrounding areas - for smaller, more compact Spaces using field welding, electrical fusion is better The size of the pipe. The electric fusion system is only suitable for systems with sizes ranging from 20mm to 710mm, while butt welding can perform systems up to 2000mm. Training, certification and experience will also inform your decision. The preparation of the pipe for both fusion methods is a meticulous manual process, however the welding itself is the biggest difference. Fusion can be a more automated process using a welding machine with appropriate fusion parameters. Butt welding has more manual components in this process.
Are there any soil requirements for HDPE pipes?
HDPE tubes are known for their flexibility, toughness and chemical resistance. PE tubes have excellent ductility and toughness and can withstand large pressure changes. These performance characteristics make PE pipes the best choice for dynamic soils and earthquake-prone areas that require strong, durable and corrosion-resistant pipes that are flexible enough to be installed and assembled in harsh and challenging environments.
